The following obituary appeared in the Kennebec Journal on July 17, 1944.  It is reprinted with the permission of the editor of the Kennebec Journal.

Frank Hopkins

TECH 5 Frank A. Hopkins was born on Jan 12, 1916, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hopkins. He was raised in Augusta, Maine, and was educated in the public schools of Augusta and graduated from Cony High School in 1935. He was employed by the City of Augusta as assistant to the city engineer of the street department when he enlisted in the Army on October 16, 1943 and reported for duty on November 6, 1943. He trained at Camp Sibert, Alabama before being sent overseas in April 1944.   He married the former Doris Bradstreet on August 31, 1940. They had no children.  Hopkins last communication to his wife was received on July 3, 1944.  His remains were returned to the United States in 1948 and he is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery located in Augusta, Maine.

Edward Harrington

Pvt. Edward L Harrington was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Harrington. He was raised in Hallowell, Maine, and was educated in the public schools of Hallowell He was employed by the Hallowell Shoe Company when he enlisted in the Army on October 16, 1943 and reported for duty on November 6, 1943. He trained at Camp Sibert, Alabama before being sent overseas in April 1944.
